EDUCATE: We educate with our drone programs including creative one on one lessons, workshops, online courses, school curriculum and travel retreats that teach people about drone technology, creativity as well as safety and regulations.
EMPOWER: And we empower with a global network of like minded individuals and prospective career opportunities including our partnership with Getty Images, our growing job board and pilot network of talented and diverse certified drone pilots around the globe.
Less than 6% of Certified Drone Pilots in the U.S. are women. Today, drone technology is being used as a tool not only in the creative industry, but also in the commercial, agricultural and architectural spaces. From capturing your next vacation and real estate content to inspecting crops and roofs, drones are here to stay and we are not going to let women fall behind in this new and evolving industry. While we inspire and educate all genders, we passionately advocate for women by providing inspiration, education and career opportunities in this growing field.
Join us in our mission to expand the presence of women and girls in the UAV industry by sharing our content, sponsoring us or simply reaching out!
We welcome and appreciate the support from all genders in accomplishing our mission.
WE SPARK CREATIVITY AND EMPOWERMENT WITH DRONE TECHNOLOGY
Women Who Drone® was founded by Elena Buenrostro in the fall of 2017 in New York City at a rooftop BBQ after being contacted by numerous women wanting to learn more about drone technology. After learning about the gender diversity gap of less than 4% of certified drone pilot in the U.S. we’re women, alongside her passion for education and drone journey to the Great Wall of China, Elena knew there needed to be a resource for women in the field. As a result, in the Fall of 2017in New York City, Women Who Drone® was born.
Since then, our #womenwhodrone has grown to over thousands of photos on Instagram and we supported thousands of women with drones opportunities and certifications across the world.
We’re proud to
