Why Women?

Less than 6% of Certified Drone Pilots in the U.S. are women. Today, drone technology is being used as a tool not only in the creative industry, but also in the commercial, agricultural and architectural spaces. From capturing your next vacation and real estate content to inspecting crops and roofs, drones are here to stay and we are not going to let women fall behind in this new and evolving industry. While we inspire and educate all genders, we passionately advocate for women by providing inspiration, education and career opportunities in this growing field.

Join us in our mission to expand the presence of women and girls in the UAV industry by sharing our content, sponsoring us or simply reaching out!

We welcome and appreciate the support from all genders in accomplishing our mission.

I think drones have done amazing things for photography and video art, making what would previously be costly and difficult more accessible. As a complete novice, it was only recently that I saw what independent artists could do with their drones, and I continue to be impressed by the sights that drones are able to explore and the images they can capture.

Amanda Ochs - Phoenix, AZ, USA

Certified Drone Pilot

In 2017, I was tasked to fly the company drone at my workplace to document our construction projects. Shortly after this introduction, I purchased my own drone and have been improving my skills since. The drone was a new tool that I was able to combine with my interest in photography and video editing into a creative outlet. Doing projects on my own was great but coming from architectural background, I saw how useful it could be in my field. It ultimately lead me to get my commercial license and start taking on projects for clients. Collaborating with others has been a very rewarding experience; it has brought me to many creative ideas I would have otherwise not achieved.

Camilla Dellión, The Maldives

Drone Photographer / Videographer & Content Creator

I’m Camilla, 29 years from Stockholm, Sweden. I have a background in communication and events. A couple of years ago I started traveling the world and I realized pretty quick that I wasn’t made for the regular 8-5 back in Sweden. I started looking for a job that I could do from anywhere in the world. Photography has always been a big part of my life, from early years inspired by my father who was a photographer. So it was obvious to me that my new plan had to include photography in some way and that I had to do something out of my passion for it. I came to the Maldives in the beginning of January this year and it felt like coming home. I loved everything about it - the people who lives there, the ocean and all the wildlife in it and of course the paradise beauty of it. I decided from that moment that I had to stay. And the Maldives is definitely a paradise playground for a girl with a drone!
