LEARN TO FLY WITH US

Never flown a drone before? No problem! Our Individual Group Lessons will introduce you to the basics of flying a drone and set you up for a lifetime of fun! Book a memorable drone experience with us today!

We offer 1:1 90 minute drone lessons and 4-hour workshops on weekends. Our drone experiences are taught by our Certified Part 107 Licensed drone pilots and focus on drone basics, safety, creative technique and how to view and capture the world from a whole new perspective.

Description/Overview of Lesson Plan

Meet with our friendly Part 107 certified drone pilot instructors in a convenient outdoor location
Learn how to fly on a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone.
The lesson/workshop will start with 15-20 minutes minutes of drone basics, pilot checklist, safety, how to insert batteries and propellers, and a review of all components including the drone-itself, remote and DJI Go 4 app.
Next, you will get 30-40 minutes of hands-on flight time to master orientation, basic flight maneuvers and intelligent flight features.
Capture photo and video at your flight location.
Ask questions about regulations, software, flight operations management, and more

Meet our Team of WWD Drone Pilot Instructors!

Meghan Margo (Miami, Florida)

Meghan Margo is a Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot, Drone Instructor, Content Creator, Filmmaker, and Drone Business Owner. She found her passion for drones 6 years ago when she began backpacking around the world. She wanted to document these beautiful remote locations worldwide. When she returned home from traveling, she began applying her camera skills to help businesses with marketing. It quickly turned into a profitable business and she started her own company specializing in marketing superyachts worldwide. This allows her to continue traveling while utilizing her drone skills.

Meghan joined Women Who Drone in 2023 as a drone instructor. She has taught students all over from California to Connecticut. She also assists the team with social media marketing and video editing. She can’t wait to continue to share her passion with you!

Nikki Rue (Denver, CO)

Nikki Rue is a licensed drone pilot in the US and EU, and has been flying drones since 2018. She enjoys partnering with brands and destinations to create high-quality drone photography and videography, while also sharing her aerial content across her websites and social media channels.

Nikki has been teaching others to fly drones since 2023, and is passionate about helping new drone operators (especially women!) develop safe flying habits, build confidence and create stunning aerial photos and videos.

She believes learning to fly a drone should be exciting and empowering, and loves seeing the incredible content her students create and the opportunities their new skills open up for them.

Michele Baker (Atlanta, GA)

Michele Baker is a content creator, branding strategist and FAA Part 107 drone pilot with four years of professional flight time. She is the founder of Peach Slice Creatives which combines technical drone expertise with a solid background in marketing, storytelling and visual content creation to help businesses and organizations bring their ideas to life from the ground and from the air.

Throughout her career, Michele has worked with clients including The Battery Atlanta, the Cumberland Community Improvement District and a variety of companies and organizations who are looking to elevate their brands through compelling visual media. When she’s not working with clients, she’s managing volunteer operations for MomoCon, one of the largest fan conventions in the Southeast, and creating content that reflects the excitement of the event.

As an instructor, Michele believes learning should be engaging, approachable and hands-on. She enjoys helping creatives, entrepreneurs and innovators find confidence with drone technology by breaking down complex topics into practical real world applications. Whether training for flight skills, FAA regulations, aerial cinematography, or content strategy, her goal is to foster an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, excited to learn, and empowered to take their next flight with confidence.

If she's not flying or filming, you'll usually find her cuddling up with her dog or watching her Braves win (or lose lol)

Katrenia (Kitty) Dadi (New York City, NY)

I'm a photographer and FAA-certified drone pilot dedicated to capturing compelling visuals from every perspective. With experience in both ground and aerial photography, I create high-quality imagery that tells stories, showcases properties, documents events, and highlights the beauty of landscapes and architecture.

My approach combines technical precision with a creative eye, ensuring every project is tailored to my clients' vision. Whether I'm photographing from the ground or capturing breathtaking aerial views, I focus on delivering professional, detail-rich images that leave a lasting impression.

I work with homeowners, real estate professionals, businesses, and organizations to produce photography and drone content that stands out. From promotional imagery and aerial inspections to cinematic video and stunning still photography, I'm committed to providing reliable service, clear communication, and exceptional results.

Every project is an opportunity to create visuals that inspire, inform, and make an impact.

Larissa Rolley (Chicago, IL)

Larissa Rolley is an FAA Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot, professional photographer, and travel journalist with more than 20 years of visual storytelling experience.

She has been flying drones commercially for over six years, capturing aerial photography and cinematic video for documentaries, weddings, churches, real estate, and roof inspections. Combining technical expertise with a photographer's eye, Larissa creates aerial imagery that helps tell stories from a unique perspective.

Lisa Lake (Philadelphia, PA)

Lisa Lake is an FAA Part 107-certified drone pilot, commercial photographer and Creative Director of Lisa Lake Creative based in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley.

With six years of experience capturing aerial imagery and video for commercial, real estate, editorial, tourism, and nonprofit clients, she combines technical flight expertise with a strong background in visual storytelling and marketing.

A longtime Getty Images photographer, Recording Academy voting member and GRAMMY U mentor, and instructor who has taught photography classes through ArtsQuest, Lisa is passionate about sharing her knowledge and empowering others through hands-on learning.

Her drone work has been featured in marketing campaigns, publications, and media outlets, and she is committed to helping more women gain confidence in drone technology, aerial photography, and creative entrepreneurship.

Stephanie OConnor (Los Angeles, CA)

Stephanie O’Connor is a photographer, creative producer, and visual storyteller with over 15 years of experience creating imagery for commercial, editorial, and e-commerce clients. Throughout her career, she has worked across photography production, creative operations, and visual asset management for brands including Logitech, Microsoft, and a wide range of consumer and lifestyle companies.

Having lived and worked in several major creative and cultural hubs—including Atlanta, New York City, Johannesburg, Oakland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles—Stephanie brings a broad perspective shaped by diverse communities, industries, and experiences. Her time across multiple markets has strengthened her ability to connect with people from different backgrounds and adapt to a wide range of creative environments.

Stephanie began incorporating drone technology into her creative toolkit approximately 18 months ago, combining her background in photography with aerial imaging to expand the ways she captures and tells stories. As a newer drone pilot, she brings a fresh perspective and a strong understanding of visual composition, safety, planning, and real-world production workflows.

Passionate about education and community, Stephanie enjoys helping others build confidence with technology and creative tools. She believes that drone instruction should be approachable, encouraging, and grounded in practical application. Her goal is to help aspiring pilots develop both the technical skills and creative confidence needed to safely and effectively use drones in their own work and adventures.

Based in Los Angeles, Stephanie continues to explore the intersection of photography, storytelling, and aerial imaging while supporting the growth of the drone community through education and mentorship.
